Empowering Young Readers: ServiceTrade Supports Book Harvest’s Mission
Recently, the People Team partnered with the IT and Finance departments to help Book Harvest in Durham, NC to support their mission of promoting children’s literacy. We assisted in branding books to enhance inventory tracking, a crucial step in ensuring that books reach the hands of children who need them most.

ServiceTrade’s Volunteer Effort
Our volunteer initiatives are part of ServiceTrade’s broader commitment to community engagement. We offer a “Team Up for Good” program, allowing managers and their teams to choose volunteer opportunities that align with their passions and schedules, creating meaningful experiences that resonate with them. Additionally, we organize the “Community Impact Program,” a biannual initiative where employees come together twice a year to participate in company-organized volunteer events, fostering teamwork while making a positive impact on local communities.
This recent collaboration with Book Harvest exemplifies how volunteers can make a tangible impact on community initiatives. Stepping away from our daily routines to engage in giving back to the community as a team or organization offers profound benefits. Such initiatives not only address pressing societal needs but also fosters stronger team connection, enhances employee morale, and reinforces a shared sense of purpose. By dedicating our time and effort, we contributed to Book Harvest’s goal of eliminating barriers to literacy and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to become a lifelong reader.
