With more than 30 years of experience in the Fire Life Safety industry, Jack Coffelt brings extensive, practical knowledge across all Fire Life Safety Inspection disciplines – Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler & Fire Suppression Systems, Fire Pumps, and more.
Jack actively participates in a variety of Fire Life Safety Committees, helping set new standards in the ever-evolving world of fire life safety. He currently serves as a technical committee member for NFPA 72 (fire alarm standards). Jack also is participating in the NICET Fire Protection Advisory Committee (National Institute for Certifying Engineering Trades). He’s one of two representatives from the National Fire Sprinkler Association participating on the NICET advisory committee.
Jack earned a NICET Level IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems, a NICET Level II in Water Based Fire Protection Testing and Inspection, and holds a Texas APS license. Jack is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA), and holds a Texas Fire Alarm Planning Superintendent License.
Jack’s career experience includes 10 years as a Fire & Security Technician with the U.S. Navy and 20 years as a fire contractor. He was instrumental in building Siemens’ commercial fire & security business, facilitated the creation of a new Business Development Program for Potter Electric Signals Company, and has served in leadership roles for Affiliated Computer Systems; Security Fire Systems; Honeywell’s Fire Alarm Division; Simplex-Grinnell; and Kidde-Fenwal. Jack served as the General Manager of Asurio until the company became part of ServiceTrade in 2022.
