I’m back as CEO of ServiceTrade, starting today.
I co-founded this company in 2012 because I believed commercial contractors deserved great technology to run a great business. I ran the company until July 2024, and I have been an advisor on strategy and customer advocacy ever since. I know the customers, the product, and the team.
Thank you to William Chaney for his leadership and his contributions to this company. During his time as CEO we launched Stella, our AI agents for commercial service, and we’re going to continue to invest in both the core platform and AI innovations to better service our customer base.
If you run a fire protection or mechanical service business, you have more work than skilled people to do it. As an entrepreneur, I like a market where demand is high and supply is scarce. Making the most of that market takes 3 things: selling better contracts and projects, delivering more revenue with the technicians you have, and getting more value from every customer relationship.
That is fertile ground for AI paired with ServiceTrade’s core platform and data. The Stella teams are well funded and will see greater investment, both to improve the core products and to extend what Stella’s agents can do. We’ll bring AI to more of the service lifecycle and to more contractors, including the administrative work that surrounds service: billing, sales, and customer service.
The market noise on AI is deafening, and it’s hard to know what to do first or which way to turn for real results. ServiceTrade’s job is to be your guide. We have 14 years of commercial service data behind us, and we’ll show you where AI pays off and how to put it to work. Our AI products will deliver real value that you’ll be able to measure.
In conjunction with my return, we completed a reorganization of the company to streamline operations, improve how we serve customers and to speed up product innovation. The organization is flatter. Customer feedback gets to the top faster, and our decisions about how to serve you better get to you faster. The teams who support our customers now report directly to me, and those teams are fully staffed.
ServiceTrade is, and always has been, a high-growth company. Q3 2026 was a record quarter for new customer bookings. We will remain the number 1 platform in fire and life safety and a leading platform for mechanical contractors.
More than 1,300 contractors trust ServiceTrade with how they run service. To the ServiceTrade team that earns that trust: thank you. To our partners: we’ll be in touch, and I’m glad to be working with you again.
If you’re a customer with an idea for what we should build next, tell your ServiceTrade account contact. Our best ideas have always come from our customers.
It’s good to be back. I’m excited to get to work.
